Full screen, full motion video can be captured in real-time with the FAST FPS/60 card, which digitizes and compresses the video using the Motion JPEG algorithm. Content can be developed and organized using Macromedia's Director and AuthorWare packages. XingCD software is used to compress the content after final editing using the MPEG-1 encoding scheme. Both audio and video are compressed (requires sound card), then interleaved to create a single audio/video file that conforms to CD-ROM data rates of 150Kbytes/second. This allows up to 74 minutes of full motion video and audio to be stored on a single CD. The Incat Easy CD Pro software is used to write the content to a compact disc in the specified format using the compact, Smart and Friendly CD-R 1002 double-speed CD-Recorder. The Xing MPEG Player allows viewing of MPEG clips in real-time without the need for special MPEG hardware.
